Suspension
I have a 2013 JKU Sport S, and this winter I've upgraded the interior. Now that the weather is warmer, I'm ready to start working on the exterior.
My plan is to upgrade the suspension and tires, but I don't want a massive lift. I'm thinking Duratracs or Toyo OC Extremes, 285s, on the stock 17" wheels. Maybe eventually getting some AEV Savegre wheels.
Originally, I thought of doing a typical budget boost, the spacer kind. However, I'm wondering if I should spend a little more money, get FSB discos, new springs, and maybe high clear control arms.
I'm hoping some of you that have gone this route before can help me sort this out. I'm thinking the suspension should be done before buying the new tires, wouldn't you agree?
Thanks!

We purchased 18/59 coils and rubi shocks with 100 miles for Our 2 dr sport and love the value therein. Have since done JKS discos, adjustable TB and ACOS for the front and a TFLEX TB bracket and JKS adj. SBAR end links for the rear and have $800 total in parts.
If you don't mind us asking what type of wheeling do you plan on doing? How often do you plan on wheeling?
We always like to get a sense of the overall goal of the build. It is best to do things right the 1st time than to change the plan multiple times as the build and your actual usage of the rig changes.
With that being said we highly recommend Rock Krawler lifts as they are some of the highest quality products on the market. Rock Krawler also did a very nice job making each kit upgradeable as you see fit. If you start with the Stock Mod (spring lift) and you find you want to add control arms you can do so very easily. Also if you start with a kit such as the one of the Flex options you could always add the other control arms to turn your Flex kit into any of the other kits. It is however the most economical to install a complete kit than to piece it together over time however it does depend on your budget so starting with the basics and building it up isn't that big a deal. If you would like to discuss in greater detail you can either e-mail us at sales@smashboogie4x4.com or PM us. We will be more than happy to help you through your build.
