Default Tailgate Mods

I'm interested in adding some expedition mods and one of the items I'm researching is the folding aluminum tailgate food prep table and cutting board. I'm familiar with the Trailgator by Outback Adventure, but I'm wondering if there are any other alternatives out there. I'm really looking to utilize this unused space to its greatest potential. I'm not completely sold on the trailgator concept, so I thought I'd ask to see what everyone else has done. Thanks!

Check out Rock Slide Engineering, they have a folding double shelf table that won an engineering/design award from SEMA.

Personally I would just do storage on the tailgate. I think you are better off with a folding aluminum table. It gives you more options on where you use it. As an example, if you have to park on uneven ground then the tailgate table becomes much less useful.

This is a great point and the reason I make these posts. Thanks for the feedback.

Any suggestions on the best storage options?

I'm in the process of completing my own table for the tailgate. I thought about the level parking issue, and figure I can come close enough most times to keep tools or snacks from being too tippy.

When I install it (hopefully done painting and bedlining it this weekend) I will post a couple of photos.

This guy has some good ideas. Check it out!

I'm sorry. He's not selling anything.

I removed link.
