Default Teraflex disconnect Pins getting eatin up by Tires?

I was wondering if anyone had the same issue as me with the teraflex disconnect pins. I have a 3" Teraflex coil lift kit with Toyo 35x12.5x17 tires and teraflex wheel spacers to prevent rubbing on the adjustable control arms. At full stuff if I turn the wheel all the way in one direction you hear the tire grab the disconnect pin and straighten it out (with sway bar disconnected). Last time when I went out with a friend luckily he had extra pins. After the second one we just used a zip tie until we were done. I just wanted to know if this is a common problem . Maybe there is a simple solution? For now I have 2 spares of the pins , and I bought some linchpins that I was planning on trying, since I don't think the tire can grab and pull those out.

what pins are you talking about? the retainer pins that go through the post you pin the swaybar link up with? The little metal pins that look kinda like the ones that hold receiver hitch pins in? Can you show a photo? I have the same lift, and same size tire, but aftermarket wheels. I have never had any rubbage. Did you call Joe @ Teraflex? I would really like to see a photo of what you are talking about.

I have the same problem, there's just not enough room for my 35's to flex with only a 2.5" lift. You probably have the same problem with a 3" lift. I just keep a bunch of spare cotter pins if I break them when articulating. The only real fix is probably wheels with more backspacing, wheel spacers, or a bigger lift.

So it is the pins going through the retainers? You know that you can put the pins in like 8 different ways. The retainers are drilled up/down and side/side. So you can put the pin in from either direction and you can push it all the way through, or just half like it is supposed to be. If you cannot find a way to move the pins to not hit the tire My local hardware store (lowes) sells a lot of different pins. I am sure you have a lowes or tractor supply that sells some different pins that wont be an issue. I would still like to see a photo of how it hits.

Default Here are some pictures

Here are some pictures of where I was talking about. I also took a picture of the new linchpins I am going to try, I don't think the tire can take these out or grab them.

Sadly to say I tried the new linchpins today and unlike I thought , the tire still ate one. I did have a spare clip which did work the rest of the trail rid. The pain is I have to go out and get another washer and linchpins (just in case).

After my last wheeling trip I was getting ready to connect my sways and noticed that my passenger pin and washer were missing. The previous trip I was lucky and noticed that my pin was laying a few feet in front of my Jeep. I assumed they had somehow worked themselves loose due to vibrations but after reading this thread I wonder if they're somehow getting pushed out. Interesting.

Yesterday I made a pit stop at a hardware store and bought a handful of pins and washers to keep in the glove box in case this happens more in the future.
