Teraflex disconnect Pins getting eatin up by Tires?
I was wondering if anyone had the same issue as me with the teraflex disconnect pins. I have a 3" Teraflex coil lift kit with Toyo 35x12.5x17 tires and teraflex wheel spacers to prevent rubbing on the adjustable control arms. At full stuff if I turn the wheel all the way in one direction you hear the tire grab the disconnect pin and straighten it out (with sway bar disconnected). Last time when I went out with a friend luckily he had extra pins. After the second one we just used a zip tie until we were done. I just wanted to know if this is a common problem . Maybe there is a simple solution? For now I have 2 spares of the pins , and I bought some linchpins that I was planning on trying, since I don't think the tire can grab and pull those out.

I have the same problem, there's just not enough room for my 35's to flex with only a 2.5" lift. You probably have the same problem with a 3" lift. I just keep a bunch of spare cotter pins if I break them when articulating. The only real fix is probably wheels with more backspacing, wheel spacers, or a bigger lift.

Here are some pictures of where I was talking about. I also took a picture of the new linchpins I am going to try, I don't think the tire can take these out or grab them.
Sadly to say I tried the new linchpins today and unlike I thought , the tire still ate one. I did have a spare clip which did work the rest of the trail rid. The pain is I have to go out and get another washer and linchpins (just in case).

After my last wheeling trip I was getting ready to connect my sways and noticed that my passenger pin and washer were missing. The previous trip I was lucky and noticed that my pin was laying a few feet in front of my Jeep. I assumed they had somehow worked themselves loose due to vibrations but after reading this thread I wonder if they're somehow getting pushed out. Interesting.
Yesterday I made a pit stop at a hardware store and bought a handful of pins and washers to keep in the glove box in case this happens more in the future.
