Default Tflex BB Lift Installation Halted

Well, that didn't last long. Couldn't budge the bolts attaching my driveshaft to the axle, even with an impact wrench, which is pretty much step one. Guess it's going to become a job for my mechanic.

I did not have to remove my driveshaft from the axle to install My Tera Flex BB. I dont belive you should have to either, maybe im mistaken but I didn't remove mine.

The reason for removing the drive shaft is so the right side of the axle will drop more making it easier to reassemble the lift. It may not be necessary, but may make things easier.

the project-jk.com writeup says if you have an anto tranny you have to disconnect it so the axle will droop enough. maybe that's not the case, but I didn't want to get so far into it to discover they were right.

You don't need to disconnect the driveshaft.

I installed the 3" FT Ultimate and never even touched my driveshaft.

A coil compressor would make the project alot easier though. Most auto parts stores around here loan them out for free.

yes. I have an auto and put the bb on mine. I just used spring compressors free from AA. No problems!

Default it's do-able...

I did it. No axle unbolting and no spring compressors. Took some muscle, but mot too much. 2.5 teraflex BB on an Auto unlimited.

I don't think the original write up said anything about this. I installed mine months ago using the write up instructions and did not have to disconnect the axle. I have the auto tranny any everything went in fine.
