Start off with a set of front lowers and rear uppers. Do you have a adjustable front trackbar? Also do you have longer brakelines, swaybar links and the right bumpstops?

Open up the FAQ's (top of this modified area)

Lots of great info, but read these specifically:
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?
Q: Are new driveshafts needed after installing a lift?
Q: I want to run larger tires and want to know what is the bare minimum I should do to beef up my front axle?
Q: What is the most common reason for front axle breaks?

As you go higher and higher, you need more and more components to get you back to a stock ride. So, do you 'need' 5" for a new set of 40" tires? (and are willing to drop the money to get there) Or do you just 'want' 5", and don't really realize yet the can of worms you'll be opening...
