Default Thoughts on Smittybilt

Just wondering what everyones thoughts on the Smittybilt XRC bumpers and sliders are. I wanna hear them all.... Good or bad.

I'm a torn between the smittybilt XRC series bumpers and LoD. Obviously there is a considerable price difference between the 2. I was gonna go with a full LoD setup but the 3k price tag aint sitting in my sub-cockle region right!

Thoughts?

I was in the same boat so I got both.
Lod shorty for the rear and smitty xrc for the front(I just liked it better, personal preference). Both finishes have held up well through our cold, snowy, dirty winter.

Dont have the bumpers, but I have the side armor and was really surprised how well they work and tough they are...especially with all the negative reviews I've seen

I have a rear bumper it looks cool but it sucks the latch is worn out and they wont send me a new bracket so i could weld it on , and the boby flexes alot so it hits the bumper on the corners go with the rock hard thats my next rear bumper its plated under neith so it wont hang up like the XRC

The sliders have no center support in center on the 4dr model so they have been known to bend in the middle and do body damage. If your not doing any really hardcore offroading they are a good product for the money.

Well, I heard this too, but I took a chance since I got them for a steal. Maybe they changed the wall thickness or something because I've come down with the full weight of the jeep in the center and they held strong. pleasantly surprised after all the reviews.

I have the xrc front bumper and I love it. Solid as all hell. But will probably go with the rock hard rear because of the beefy tire carrier. I have heared alot about the smithy built carrier wearing out.
