Default Tie rod jam

I have a 2010 JKU Rubicon, and I replaced my tie rod with the The Rock Krawler tie rod. The tie rob it self is great, and very heavy duty, but the Jam nut keeps coming loose.

Has anyone else had this problem? If you have how did you fix it?

torque it down and put some clear RTV on it to keep it in place (RTV it from jam nut itself to threads, let it cure, it won't cme loose again)

Amazing goop from an auto parts store. A super strong silicon type of sealant, not too bad to get off when you need too.

I don't know what the torque spec is but I would pretty much tighten that as much as I could with locktite.

Keeping jam nuts tight can be a real challenge. The problem gets much worse if you're on roads that are coated with magnesium chloride or heavy salt in the winter. I had this problem with my rear lower control arms (made by some company in sunny CA that had never heard of mag chloride or road salt). It led to a catastrophic failure of my rear axle that took me nine months to fix -part of that being economic. Just now getting back on the road. The point I'm making is it's critical to keep those things tight and that's a hard thing to do. Many of them are located in an area where it's almost impossible to put a wrench on it then give it the throw it needs to put a good tightening on. Some folk tack weld them in place on use JB weld. I think Rusty's recommends mounting them so you can get the adjustment right, then pulling them back off and pre-loading the jam nuts before final install. If I were using loctite, I'd go with the red

Yeah just about at the point I just might tach weld them, I think I've just about tried everything else. Well see.....
Bump this one more time to see if I can get just alittle more advise before I let miller fix it.

Can't you just put on a second jam nut?
