Question Tire/Wheel Question for 08 JK Wrangler

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum and have been looking at getting a new set of tires. I've got a 08 JK (everything stock so far - only a few payments in) but my #1 priority is going to be tires. From what I can tell, stock wheels on the JK X are going to be 16". So my question is, will i be ok going with 31X10.5 without a lift, or could I even bump it up to 33X10.5 without a lift? And would these tire sizes fit a 16" rim?

Thanks for you help!

P.S. - all i would be driving in would be mud and the backfields of Mississippi, so not a lot of boulders or ice.

Thanks,

Brian

Check these out. I mounted these today on stock steel 16 X 7" rims.

They are 265-75-16. The overall diameter is just under 32 inches.

No problems at all with no lift

I don't know if you would want to go any bigger on the 7" wide rims.

Very reasonably priced.

X2 nail on the head, that's exactly the size you want the with 16x7 rim.

Also you could consider getting a used set of Rubi wheels and tires, better looking rim, great tire, and reasonably priced
