Post Which tires BFG vs Toyo

Hello,

I plan to change tires, I have stock rubicon wheels, I m about to install a 3'' lift kit and I wonder which tires could be the best suited for a 3.73 gear.

The option are BFG KM2 33'' or Open Country M/T 34''. The idea is to be able to use the JK with the 3.73 gear and to fill the gap between tires and fender.

So what could be the best option? or any other manufacturers?

They are both great tires, it's up to you which looks better. Quality-wise they are about equal.

I love my Toyo tires. These are my first ones, and except for the expense, they are wonderful. I have had the BFG's and they are great tires, but I like the Toyos a lot better.

I love my BFGs. Quiet, not too pricey, handle well on the street, and loads of traction offroad.

I've had the 33" BFG KM2's on for about 3 months now. I really like them. The noise was much less than I was expecting.

I get alot of positive comments from people whenever I'm out on how good they look.

I love my KM2s....very soft ride, and much quieter than I expected.
True, they were a little expensive for my size, but 33s are much more affordable.

Toyos were the other ones I was considering, but only went with BFG because Ive had such good experiences with them in the past with their All Terrains and their G-Force.

I think they both look great, and are rated about the same in most of the reviews I have read.

Doesn't the Toyo have a stronger sidewall?

You are gonna hear way more votes for BFG because more people use them, not necessarily because they are better, not saying there is anything wrong with the BFG. Everyone that has BFG and Toyo is gonna say that tire

I love my Toyos and if it weren't for the more aggressive sidewall of the Toyo I would probably go with BFG on my next set. As of now I may just stick with the Toyo next round.

You will probably love whichever set you get. Pick the one that looks best for you and your JK and fits your budget best.

Also, I thought Toyo came in a 33" MT if you want to compare 33s. 33s would be a better fit for your gear ratio, but a 34 wouldn't kill you.
