Yes Kidjeep, this is exactly my point is 34'' too much the the gear. I hope 33'' looks ok with a 3'' lift, before going bigger I would like to re-gear 4.88 so this is why I want to set these tires on my stock rubicon wheels.

Sounds like both are equivalent I was also concerned by the road noise with either of these, but it sounds the KM2 are acceptable, on top of it these are cheaper (knowing I want to keep it on 7.5'' rim).

KM2 are not yet imported in CH or EU I think (I try to browse for this info but nothing) only KM and not in all sizes, I found only for 15 and 16 wheel and this is the same for Toyos.

I guess I will go for the KM2 cheaper on which I have to include shipping cost...

Should also consider the wt of the tires....I think the Toyo's will be close to 10#/tire heavier than the KM2's.

I have been happy with my Toyo M/T's on my diesel truck but I have been more impressed with the Cooper STT's on our JK as they have a very similar tread pattern as the Toyo M/T's and even quieter on the highway.

Tough choice either way.....as both Tires are very good!

Chris_CH - If you want to go with the LT255/80R17 BFG KM2s they are 33.3” and only weigh 46.31 pounds - a little less than the stock Rubicon 32’s! The only drawback is they are Load Range E - so they may be harsh to drive on - don’t know.

Thanks Joe002, this is interesting and about the 3'' lift do you think it will look ok?

Default Happy with Toyo's

They are great on the street and just as good on the trail. I have taken my JK on the Rubicon a few times on the rocks. They hooked up without taking chunks of tread out like other tires I have had.

5 thumbs up!

The option are BFG KM2 33'' or Open Country M/T 34''. The idea is to be able to use the JK with the 3.73 gear and to fill the gap between tires and fender.

So what could be the best option? or any other manufacturers?
without a doubt, the BFG's look awesome, are surprisingly quiet for a mudder and wear like iron. however, the rubber compound used is way too hard for my taste and they perform well on the trail but not as well as i would have expected. the other thing i don't like about the BFG's is that the sidewalls are so thin and they do get punctured/torn into easily. last but not least, the BFG's perform well enough in the rain but the lack of siping makes the BFG's perform just okay on slick/icy roads.

now, toyo may not look as sexy and their tread life may not be as long as BFG's but above and beyond any tire i have run, i can tell you that they perform outstandingly on just about anything. toyos are E rated tires and have super thick sidewalls that can really take extreme trail abuse without a concern. the rubber compond used is significantly softer and therefore stickier on the trail making climbing up rocks much easier. and, being that the lugs are siped, toyos will offer significantly better traction on wet/slick/icy roads over BFGs. the biggest downside to toyos is their price and they are expensive.

I guess BFG going to the Load Range E on the newer KM2 may give a harsher ride, but will be better on the trails.
