Default Is this too much for gears to be installed?

I recently lifted my 2012 JKU w/ a 6spd. It's got an AEV 3.5 with 35in tires. I'm looking to get 4.56 gears so I can get a little more power out of it.
I was quoted $2500 for front and rear. Parts and labor. Does this sound like a good deal?

Prices seem to vary a lot for this depending on where you are. I hade quotes from $1200 - $2000. $2500 is really on the high side.

Agreed. Way to high. I'm getting quotes from $1200-$1800 parts and labor.

Sounds outrageous! Northridge has gear packages with overhaul kits around 450-550 depending on what you want (I'm on my phone so didn't really want to look at them all for 4.56) and labor should be around 2-300 an axle. You should be able to stay around or just under $1000. I called all the 4x4 places within two hours of me and then posted on a regional forum and found a guy to do it for $200 an axle, and he came highly recommended.

On a 2011 for 5.13's, I was quoted $1600 parts and labor, + $300 if I want a 3 yr/36000 mile warranty with it

That's dirty! I'd tell the shop to suck balls for trying to get one over on you! Buy gears from Northridge, and start calling shops for labor quotes...
