No, don't have any tcase pics. Need to get some though. Unfortunately I'm at work for 24hrs so won't be able to get pics today. Maybe tomorrow. The case didn't crack at a seam like where the two halves meet up. It actually cracked perpendicular to the seam. More where the rear output shaft is. From what I could see the front appeared fine

actually, if the chain and planetary gears inside the t-case are fine, you should be able to reuse them and just replace the broken case. if just the rear half is broken, i think it's only $300-$400 for it. regarding the drive shaft, yeah, if it's still good, why replace it. no need for adjustable rear uppers if you are not getting a new u-joint style replacement shaft. as far as gears go, i personally would recommend 4.88 - it's a good fit for 35's.

this is what most of the broken t-cases look like.

To the OP did you feel any vibration before everything let go? If it was the drive shaft letting lose you would have felt it going.
I hate to say it but... I TOLD YOU SO!!

I have seen a similar problem like that in a 1/4 mile drag car. In that case a ring bolt came loose got in between ring and pinion and broke like yours did. Luckly it broke about the 60ft mark and not further down the track. Close to the same thing happened to the transmission that happened to your transfer case the shock of it stopping blew his tail shaft apart.

As for the gearing I would look at 4:88. Just personal prefence.

Would like to see a video of the cover being takin off the rear and of the damage to transfer case. If you could manage that. little easier to get a internet diagnosis like that.

Man that sucks , hard to tell what caused it , as others have stated , but one possibility that has not been stated is a bad pinion gear , maybe bad metal and it snapped , causing the other damage , what brand were gears ? did scott install for you or someone else , he did my and I've had no issues , I did just install ca's in rear and new driveshaft just for piece of mind , pm me if you deside to replace driveshaft with cv shaft I found a place online that has really good prices

No input from installer. He's actually out of town till Monday. I was aware of this as he told me he was leaving Wednesday night before I left with my jeep. The gears were Yukon. I'll try my best to get a video and pics of the rear diff

The ARB is scared up pretty good but the internals seem fine. The installer has a brand new atlas 2 he's selling for $1800. So debating on whether to put that in or not.

I wouldn't pay him shit, wouldn't trust the atlas he's trying to push either. I'd tell him to fix everything back like it was, he did a gear install, you left the place and blew your shit to pieces. That's a helluva blown tcase.musta Pinion looks like it did a number on the locker casing.
