Default Transfer case question

About a year and a half ago I broke my front axle and and haven't been wheeling since. Recently replaced the entire axle with a new d44 with an ARB locker. My question is I haven't used my transfer case in a while. I just connected my front driveshaft and changed the oil in my transfer case. I was wondering if everybody thought it was okay to use my transfer case after a year and a half in dormant. Thanks in advance.

There's no real difference in what you've done and people in the military being deployed and leaving their vehicles behind.

Keeping fluid in there prevents things from seizing up.

No truer statement has ever been said. You will be fine. Enjoy using 4-wheel drive again!

Even in 2wd, the internals of the case are still spinning and moving fluid, so really this statement doesn't apply to a case that's been sitting.
