Not JK specific, but I ran a front truetrac, rear detroit combo for nearly 11 years. 37" mt's spring/summer/fall, 35" at's during the winter. Blew the detroit out at year 7, never had a single issue with the truetrac. (don't know if there was a design change for the 32" vs 38" warranty, but it would have been a 32" warranty version)

Ended up with Truetracs on both ends, 5.38, beefed up D30 (sleeved, gussets, truss) and 35" Pitbull Rocker radials. It took me along time to pull the trigger and I really like this set up.

Time will tell if this is a perfect match for my conditions and situation but so far it seems to be just right.

So, I've been looking at this same route. Now with a year of use, how did it pan out?

Blew up the D30 ring gear within a year, going to do an axle swap sometime this summer.

No surprise here. Proof of why dumping money in a D30 is a waste

Yes, we get it, you're a D30 expert.

Actually it proves 5.38 were a bad idea more than anything. Everything else held up fine, and I wheeled it hard.
