tuffy glovebox
Nah it's really easy. The PITA comes with trying to stop it from ratteling on the top edge. I ended up with some thin peel and stick weather stripping from Ace that did the trick (after alot of experimenting). Very sturdy build and looks great.
hmm..never heard about the rattle, that would drive me bonkers. thanks for the advice
OMG the rattle... tried insulation, peel and stick everything. Got a coupla' pieces of leather shoved into some crack in there now. Don't dismay you'll beat it, and in the end you'll have one of the best investments for keeping your investments. Really can't wait to get my center console redone in Tuffy and getting them keyed the same. WORST DESIGN FEATURE EVER goes to whomever put that key in the recessed, offcentered hole in the front of the lid. Never was in the circus / never was a contortionist. Tuffy has it out front, simple, metal, easy. (Grrrr.. that guy still has me peaved off!) Glove box took maybe 45 minutes to do, and I'm a chimp when it comes to even these simple interior mods. Love it when they're done. (kinda like I'd love to beat the liberal art school dropout who designed the front of that confounded console) Sorry
the rattle thing spooks me. im like rainman with that kinda sh%t. i drive my wife nuts..me-"did you here that"? her-"hear what"?..me-"that..i gotta pull over". maybe i'll look into a security box instead. thanks guys
