The Dark Slate and Medium Khaki powdercoat and vinyl have finally arrived. We had to have them custom made to match the Jeep colors. We are taking orders for the colors now and will make them on the next run (a couple of weeks). Color code on Dark Slate is "08" and Medium Khaki is "11".

Thanks for that Jeff, I expect you will be seeing quite a few orders. Any chance that we might be able to see some pics? I know you said they haven't been produced yet, but something showing the matched colors compared to the JK interiors would ease fears and increase sales.

Jeff,
I'd love a 4-6" high locking drawer for the 4-doors, both with and without
the speaker. Or maybe with pre-drilled holes to mount the speaker
on top of a full width drawer.

thanks

A 3/8" metal bit worked for me. Drilled a 1/16" pilot hole first.

All the Tuffy products are beefy and secure, with outstanding locks. They also tend to have corners that aren't rounded, menaing more scrapes, pokes and the like. My console has bit me twice falling shut on me, and it's a heavy lid. One bite took a chunk of fingernail. The placement of the lock is also awkward for me to open without getting out of the seat. If the lid had a brace or prop to keep it open, or opened past vertical, it would be a better construction.

I'm thinking of modifying my lid to include a drawer, not locked, and raise the arm rest. It's too low for me. But nobody is getting into the console.

the black doesn't stand out as much as it does in pictures. i was worried about it too, but didn't see any progress by Tuffy when I ordered mine about getting anything other than black, so i just did it. i would have gone with the grey if it was offered, but there are so many different shades of black and grey in the interior already that what was one more.

As soon as we get some powdercoated, we will have pictures on our website and I can try to get some up on the forum.
