ud or A/T Tires that fit 18" Sahara wheels with no lift?

Are there any good M/T tires that fit the Sahara stock 18" wheels without a lift? I've found a few 35-37" tires, but there seem to be darned few in the 32-33" size. I found a Goodyear Wrangler MT/R in a 275/65R18 that should fit, and Firestone Destination M/T's in 285/65R18.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Jeff

I went to discount tire.com just because they have a finder by size. Lot's of stuff in that size range. The Nitto's Grapplers and Geolanders looked pretty cool. 275/65R18 according to their site is a 32" however, same as stock, albeit it is wider. I think you need to go a 275/70R18 to get to 33" and the options drop quite a bit. I didn't find anything in a 275/75/18.

I am in the same process (although my current tires are fine) so have fun with it.

You can look at Toyo M/T 33x12.5R18 or a Cooper STT which I think comes 305/60R18 which is about 33x12.1R18. However, you will need to buy wheel spacers to fit the wider tire as you will rub at the front lock to lock.

If you don't get Spacers you should consider these sizes:

Cooper STT if you don't get spacers is a 275/70R18 which is about 33x11R18.

in the Toyo M/T you could consider the 285/75R18 or 275/70R18 which is also about 33x11.5 to 33x11

Does anyone have any pix of 33s or 35s on stock 18" wheels with spacers? Do the sidewalls bulge out alot?

I put Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor's in 265/70/18's on my new 08 Sahara and they look great and handle real nice on the highway also.

With the stock sahara wheel you have a 6.5" BS...if you place 1.5" spacers behind your stock wheels you will have a 5.0" BS for the wheel. A 12.5" wide tire will fit under the stock fender flares. I have 4.5" BS on my aftermarket wheels and my 33x12.5 tire sticks out about 0.5" outside the stock fenders.

Do a budget boost and forget the spacers!

I had wanted to avoid a budget boost, but that may be the way to go. Or I might just find some 16/17" wheels and tires for those that is less expensive than the 18" wheel/tire combos. Plus there's something to be said about getting a set of tires on wheels already mounted and balanced, ready to swap on the Jeep.

So many upgrades, so ittle cash... :)

Thanks,

Jeff

Check out Kumho Road Venture KL78. They actually come in a bunch of 18" sizes from 32-36. I bought 1 LT325/60R18 (33") as a new spare and the tread is actually pretty decent.
