Default ughhohhh broken parts

well not so much borken as bent and dented... dealership wasnt happy...
not voiding my warranty or anything just not covvering...

i relaize this maybe should be put in jk talk but i am wondering what lift might fix my problem with out buying original parts... sort of an upgrade so i put it here....

so the storry.... leaving minden it was wet out, had to make a left onto a highway, stepped on it esp came on and back end kicked out a little when i straightened out i was going straight but the steering wheel was cockeyed to the left a little. after doing another 6 or 7 hours more of driving since then.... last night my ESP and BAS warning light came on... i searched here last night and read stuff about steering angle sensors and clocksprings... so i didnt think anything of it. took it in and when i left the guy waslike yeah its all covered under warranty blah blah blah....

turns out i hit a rock.. u can see the marks...they say i need

Both outer tie rods
sway bar links
latteral link
right trailing arm an al alignment and there are some other parts they are going to straighten out...all in all... 1300..... thats labour and everything but ouch!

here are the part numbers supplied(these were the mechanics actual notes)

OTRE 5206005AE
5206005AF
52060054AB
links 52059975AC
track 52059982AE
trailing arm 520559979AD
U control arm 52059976AC

no i was plannin on blowing some money on a lift this weekend... i guess not.... orrrr 1300 dollars heck i might as well replace those parts with a lift right?
right? haha

a place i buy most of my stuff from is having a sale on BDS suspension systems this weekend... any ideas on what i should be doing?

i would rather not get a massive lift where i have to get a longer drive shaft and all that.
ps I have a 2 door x . I am running 33x11s and 4dr rubicon springs... any ideas?

replace tie rod, with an upgraded heavy duty Rock Krawler tie rod, you need to buy heavy duty tie rod ends to go with it

buy teraflex sway bar disconnects, that takes care of the links

not sure what they mean by lateral link draglink maybe

right trailing arm? where they come up with the names, I believe they mean control arm, and if so the stock ones are cheap and probably could get one for next to nothing on the forum here. the lower control arm lists for 40bucks

THey are ripping you off thats for sure.....check out this link http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment

hmm yeah i dunno wierd names im assuming by going by the picture that is there with the link you gave me...

by right trailing arm they mean lower control arm it was only slightly bent... they were gunna straighten it out...

and by lateral link i believe they meant track bar? by looking at the picture im sure thats what he was pointing too he said it helped keep the diff centred or something like that? he was talking really fast and it was hard to keep up with him

Wow I dont see how it would be possible that you could bend all those parts unless you hit a giant rock at high speed or wheel it really really hard. Just my 2 cents. I think they are ripping you off.

ok I hope you got the jeep out of there, they are ripping you off/liars.....I wouldnt trust them. the control arm shouldnt be straightened if it is indeed bent, its a $40 part wtf

if he is talking about what helps keep the diff/axle centered then that is the track bar, could replace that with a teraflex or many other heavy duty track bars. If you are getting a lift its a good idea to get new track bar anyway to recenter the axle, and lower adjustable control arms help you dial in the caster after a lift. I wouldnt pay the dealer one dime to replace anything. You're just going to replace anyhow.

I dont believe he is actually straightening the control arm out but where it connects to the axel the conection ahs been bent in, pinching the joint, i believe they were going to bend it back
