Don't forget about the Tuffy glovebox, I have one and fitment was a bit of a pain but now that its installed it locks up like a vault.

In keeping with the thread, but not with regard to location, I have a VDP "hidden storage vault" that goes in the rear under the floor. It's been quite handy for cameras and/or wallets and other smallish items at the each etc. If you go that route and you plan to remove the carpeting - KEEP THE CARPET for that little area! the VDP storage container floats around a little bit w/o it - I put some small foam blocks under it to keep it from vibrating/moving around.

it's served me well for several years and installation couldn't have been any easier.

I have the Tuffy conceal carry drawer under my driver seat. Works great. I also installed the Tuffy rear storage security deck. This covers the trunk area of my 4 door JKUR, and when the doors are locked using the key fob the rear gate will not open even if somebody tries to unlock the doors using the door unlock button when the top is off. The security deck is solid and it is fairly easy to install and remove when you need to move larger items. I love it. I can throw my range bag, workout bag, camera, etc back there lock my jeep and not worry. Well worth the investment.

I have the security deck as well but if you are dead set on under the hood, I'd suggest getting an oba bracket and mounting a box to it.

I have the bestop underseat storage drawer that I removed from my 2010, but it won't fit as designed under the seat of my new 2014 2 door, I'm kicking around modifying my seat to make it work... Anyone else done this?

I have the Tuffy Underseat drawer under each of my front seats. They are far superior to the Bestop ones. I had the Tuffy glove box as well as their console insert and rear cubby cover on my last JK.

I always leave my jeep unlocked with some random crap in my glove box and console for people to find.

At the risk of sounding stupid what's an OBA bracket? On Board Accessory?
