Default Underside Armor

So after playing in a rock garden last weekend, my better half is convinced I need some better under armor. Personally I think she want's me to get a giant peice of inch think steel just to line the whole underside, but I know a bit better than that. I'm thinking of getting some diff armor, as well as something for the oil pan. I know wayoflife loves the rancho oil pan, but I keep eyeing the river raider oil pan/tranny cover. Looks good, and adding in their transfer case and gas tank skid would look slick as well (I put a good sized dent in the stock gas skid this weekend).

So anyone have any thoughts on oil pan skids/armor?
And same thing with diff armor, the AEV rear diff skid looks bad ass, but what about for the front? ARB, Poison spider, what do people like to use, and why? Pro's and cons and so forth would be awesome.

Oil pan skid and trans pan skid is all you need for protection of the vitals. The stock gas tank skid has proven to be more than sufficient. The complete underside skid plate systems are great until you need to do maintenance or a trail repair to a drive shaft or transfer case linkage, etc. and then those complete systems earn a huge thumbs down.

Yeah that was exactly my thought. My biggest concern with any armor is being able to still do maintenance without adding on an hour just to do a simple job. That's why I'm mostly focused on diff armor and oil pan armor; I want to be able to change the oil without it turning into an hour long job! So lemme know what brands people are rocking and why!

(Also I'm sure it will come up, but holding off and lca skids until I get some adjustables in there, same thing a set of ace rock sliders are number 1 on my to buy list)

I like the arb diff covers but they are pricey. I'm also looking to combine the AEV slider with my rear arb cover.

And there is the new evo skid system for oil pan, trans, and crossmember. Depends how long you want to wait.

Sliders are def needed (rid yourself of those side steps )

I was trying my best to get rid of them this weekend, I was rubbing them on anything I could find!

x2, if you can wait for the EVO system for the 2007-11 models, hold out for it. I can almost assure you it will out perform anything currently out there.

By the look of that picture you need more than Under Armor

I have been looking at the Jks oil pan and exahust skid for my 2012 but havent got any feed back from anyone on them one way or the other yet. They look like nice skids to me.

If you can get your hands on some 1/8 -1/4 aluminum metal, you could fab your own oil skid for $25... The underbelly is a bit ugly cause I wasn't paying attention and applied the epoxy weld to wrong side.. They have worked great for me so far.. I cut 2 for each mold and expoy welded them together and then epoxy welded them to oil pan.. Sure beats paying $150....
