I installed the viper TB on my 07. I dont think I really noticed much of a difference. I never threw any codes but I was in Illinois at the time. Not a whole lot of high ground in central Illinois. Sounds like you need something regardless.

I wanted to make one comment. You are going to struggle getting the "Air Hump Hose" on the throttle body. Its the rubber hose that goes between the air intake tube and throttle body. I had the Airaid setup too. I fought like h*ll getting that hose on. Kept wanting to pop back off. Used some oil and a lot of elbow grease to get it on far enough to tightend down the clamp.
