Default Which way should I go??? Help!

I'm a new Jeep owner and am interested in making this Jeep "mine" but would also like to enhance it's off-road ability a little (within my budget). I've only done some basic trails and loved it, but that was in my buddies TJ - not my JK yet.

Here's the deal -- I own an Unlimited X with the 17" MOAB wheels/32" tires. What I think I want to do is:
1) 3" Teraflex lift
2) 1" Teraflex wheel spacers (keep my wheels -- again, budget constraint)
3) 35" Dick Cepek Mud Country Tires
4) Bushwacker Fender Flares (got it - does not enhance performance, but I like the look )
5) Eventually I'll replace the front and rear bumpers -- but that's after I win the lottery.

I'll be honest, I really like the look of the Stage 1 Quadratech Project JK -- so there's my inspiration.

My concerns are:
1) The Dana 30 on the front with 35" tires. I keep hearing that'll be my weak point, but I see here that a lot of people are running that combo. How much abuse would be too much? I don't consider myself a serious off-roader -- maybe one weekend a month in VA mountains.
2) 3" lift. Is there anything else I should do along with the Teraflex kit (i.e., lower control arms etc...)? Or, would anyone recommend a different kit? I don't want to go any higher than I need to clear the 35's.

My alternate plan is 2.5" lift (not sure which kit, but probably Teraflex BB), 33" Dick Cepek Mud Country or MT Baja Claws. If I go with the 33's, I'm considering the 17" AEV Pintler Wheels in Argent.

I'm really interested in your opinions, as I am torn on what path to take (no pun intended).

Some sort of rock sliders are a must if you are going off road. I have already bashed my passenger rocker panel.

With your budget in mind and the description of the off roading you do I would get a 2" budget lift, 33" all terrain, and front stubby with a winch.

x2

I already cracked one of my side steps, so I'm in the process of fabbing some beefy sliders.

Thanks for the replies. Added the Olympic Reversa-bars to my wish list. Thanks for the back-up. I think I'm going to go with the 33 Bajas -- no desire to buy a new axle.
