Default Did spark plugs today

I am only at 47k on the 09 jk and I switched with the ngk iridium. Man what a difference. The stock plugs where done and a pain in the ass to get out and broke 3 wires. The wires I went with we're just oem from o'rileys auto parts. I drove for 20 miles no lights came on and no more shake at stop lights.

did the same at 38k, but made the mistake of installing E3's ,. .. well after acouple hundred miles I started getting kicks, n the idle sounded horrible,. "lawn mower horrible"
bought some ngk iridium's, . im at 47k and running smooth .. turns out the ceramic on one of the e3 plug wiggled loose from the hex nut n spark plug body, making the spark gap move around..

I am at 45k on my 08. My jeep runs great an is on the original plugs. Hopefully I will reach 60k before replacing them.

Well I would suggest taking one out and looking at it. I was surprised at how bad mine was at 47k

Installed some Bosch Platinum +4 plugs last week on my 07 at 43k. Install wasnt to bad as I have the inner fender liners removed. Seems to idle a little better and mileage went up a tad bit.

. i went over a 100 k on my wifes 3.3 caravan and the plugs looked decent still under 50 k no way should a later model vehicle need new plugs without some o ther issues such as oil consumption , coolant issues or loads of shitty fuel ... jus sayin

many of us have the common issue of rough idle. Some have reported that changing the plugs helped while others experienced no change at all. Do they NEED to be changed at under 100 clicks, no!

Update for an old thread. Got a little 3.8 chugging goin on at stop lights? I used to, but took the advice from someone else on this forum after I already changed my plugs......the solution.....go to,advance autoparts and buy a aftermarket locking gas cap for 16 bucks. It solved my problem, and no more rough idle.
