Default What else can i do?

Purchased by 14 JKU sept 2014. Most of my excursions are family based (always have my daughter 3yo and wife) so I avoid serious rocks etc, but we joy heading out on the trails for the day. I like to tinker on my own when we can't go out and about, so what else could I do.

So it started as a 2014 Rubicon, 3.6L, auto with 4.10 gears and some creature comforts.
Also, it had the following already installed.
- 3.5 Super Flex lift
- Adjustable Upper & Lower Control Arms
- Blistein 5100 mono tube shocks
- Front & Rear CV Driveshaft w/ Yokes
- 17" Pro Comp Extreme Alloy Series 7036 Wheels
- 315/17/R17 Extreme Mud Terrain 2 Tires

Added the following in my garage
N-fab wheel to wheel nerf steps (my 5' nothing wife required these)
Poison Spyder Brawler Mid Front Bumper with Brawler Bar & Brawler Mid Skid
TeraFlex JK HD Hinged Carrier and Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit
Truck-Lite 7'' Round LED Headlamp
Rigid Dually D2 Floods w/ Poison Spyder JK Lower A-Pillar Mounts
WARN ZEON 10-S Winch
sPod Jeep 6 Switch Panel LED
Rigid Industries E-Series 10" LED Light Bar - mounted on aluminum Hawse Winch Fairlead
Rigid Dually D2 Floods mounted on rear bumper as aux reverse light
Poison Spyder RockBrawler II Rear Bumper
Rigid SAE/DOT approved fog light
Fox 2.0 Steering stabilizer with relocation brackets

Working with Offroad Elements to order some skids since I did some damage last time out.

So what else?
Need a new list of ideas to keep myself busy at home

Such an elaborate list but you want more? How about a cage- your wife and daughter will thank you one day. It'll also give you a project if it's done correctly.

Like I said, I like to tinker. Every year I add something or improve something on my boat, so starting the same process with the Jeep.
Currently built to meet all our needs, just starting to think of things to do next summer when I stop taking the Jeep out and spend weekends on the boat

Given that you aren't running rock sliders and apparently don't need them, I'd say you're more than good where you're at. Toss the extra cash flow into a 529 plan for the little one.

Would like sliders (just in case), but can't find any that also help wife get in Jeep. So stuck with what I have until those create an issue, unless someone know of something that wold work.

There are plenty of options that also work as a step. I like my Shrockworks, but if you weld you could fabricate up your own. Mine are semigloss powdercoated, which can be a tad slippery when wet. Some folks add antiskid tape to prevent that (but then I get to catch the back of my leg on that antiskid as I'm getting out).

As for other mods for a rig driven on moderate routes: Are some of them tight with trees? You might consider limb risers (those cables in front of my windshield). What kind of recovery gear are you carrying in addition to the winch? Do you have the most useful accessories? Since this is a trip with the family, I assume there are some times you're off without a buddy Jeep. Could you recover from this? There are no trees or boulders that are suitable as an anchor.

I used a Pull-Pal as an anchor. It took a shovel to dig it out afterward ...

And if you think, "I don't do mud!", neither do I. I had just washed the Jeep the day before and was just heading out to shoot a few pictures of birds at a lake a few miles from my home. But, there's something about wanting to get to your destination that might cause you to make a risky decision. This is especially so if you're on a trip and weather becomes an unanticipated factor.

And how about the back end of your Jeep? Do you have that organized to safely secure all of your gear? Racks, drawers, etc, can make life out of a vehicle a much better experience ...

Finally, I just want to say that I like the approach you've taken: Add a few things over a period of time--it doesn't need to be built overnight because it came from the factory ready for adventure--and take it out and use it. I see too many folks who spend all of their money and time building incredible rigs, then do little more than play in a local off-road park with them. I doubt when they are laying on their death bed they will say, "Gee, I wish I'd spent more money building my Jeep!" A little inspiration from my YouTube channel ...

Mark Thanks. Those are some great ideas. Gives me stuff to research this off road season then possibly execute on next summer.

Unless I missed it, sleeves and gussets for front axle, CB radio, snatch blocks and recovery gear, rock light(help you see at night if you need to fix something at night, for non rock crawlers). Evaporate relocation bracket or skid plate for it, good 1st aid kit.

LoD and the new VKS prerunner sliders both have built in steps (real steps, not rails that sort of function as one like ACE). Both of those options are also the beefiest you can get with bolt-on sliders. Frame mounted, etc.
