Anybody figure out how to wire in an oil pressure gauge on the 3.6? The sending unit is in the lifter valley, but I will be changing spark plugs soon, and will have access to it while I am in there. I like the aero force, but all I really want is oil pressure, so not worth the $. Does anyone know of an electric oil pressure gauge I could tie in to the existing sending unit?

Attachment 675982

It also sets TPMS alarm pressure, tire diameter, high idle (for winching) and a few other bi-directional controls. It reads two parameters at a time in the mode I use it in -- Usually engine temperature, long term fuel trim (LTFT), intake air temperature, or battery voltage. There's buttons on the front to cycle through selected values to view.

x2 At most you could do two of these; they cover every parameter, plus record 0-60 times and more!

And a variety of other useful gauges on the Nexus 7 tablet running Torque Pro ...

Torque Pro also allows for setting alert warnings, and provides plain language explanation of any CEL codes when detected. I also use the Nexus 7 for road navigation, topo mapping and navigation, ham radio control including finding and entering ham repeater codes as I drive cross country, music, and carrying digital copies of documents relative to my travels (permits, reservations, paper maps, etc). Thus, Torque Pro isn't always visible.

The 3.6 can monitor oil pressure and transmission temperature through the EVIC.

Hey jchappies,

How are you liking your Ripp? Also what boost gauge did you decide on? Will the Aeroforce gauge display Boost using the MAP sensor or is another sensor necessary?

So far the RIPP is doing fine...no issues at all. I run an autometer boost gauge. From what i read the aeroforce gauge will do boost. My nexus7 running Torque app will also show boost and vacuum and it seems to be pretty close to what the autometer reads so...

I installed a Kenwood DNX891 stereo. It has he ability to connect up to your OBD2 port and bring in all sorts of vehicle data. I use it mostly for air pressure when off-roading but you can display 5 different gauges at one time. Pretty slick. you can also set alarms as you see fit.

How did you install the oil pressure gauge? Did you replace the stock oil pressure sending unit? Where did you get the adapter for the "cubby" hole between the air vents?
