What gear ratio for 32, 33 or35" tires (2012 unlimited)

Will be buying a 2012 JK wrangler unlimited this week. This will be my first jeep. What gear ratio is the best for 32" to 35" tires. I am looking for power and the best MPG. The JKU will be a daily driver, long trip from FLorida to Ohio once to twice a year and trips to the woods. I was told that 32's do not need a lift just leveling kit and it looks good.
After the 32's I would need at less a 2.5" lift for it to look good. I was told by the dealer that 4:10 can only be ordered in the Rubi. The transmission will be an auto. By the way I am a newbie also to this site, Hello all.

If your ever going to run 35" tires
Get the lowest gear offered for the model your buying
I'm running 35" with 4.10 and it's fine out on the freeway at 75+

Thanks, I ordered my jk today. I went with the 3.73 and will re-gear with the 4.10.

Hey all,
I myself just picked up my 12 JKU Sport with the 373 ratio. I am currently saving for 3" teraflex SA kit and 35's. Im curious how the 373 ratio will do with 35's? I know for the 3.8's most threads I read were saying 4.88's were optimal. But budject is tight n I dont wanna go crazy.

You guys think (or know from experience) that i can get away with running 373's with 35's ?

The 2012s have a much easier time running larger tires, mainly due to the gearing and massive power gains over the previous years JK's

From what I have read here (as I don't have a 2012) it's perfectly doable to run 3.73's and 35" tires. Heck, i've heard of people that said they ran 3.73's and 35" tires on the old 3.8, though they said it definitely wasn't too impressive.

I'm running Duratracs 317/70/17 on a 2012JK/auto/3.73
Just got to use my procal last nite, first off mounted this set up is 33.5" tall, after calibration IMO the shift points are very different (good) its not bad but it is noticeable between the stock tires and this set up. Where it's most apparent is on long gradual hills. When it wants to stay in overdrive and hasn't shifted down yet, you feel the momentum dying off. Once my rig has it's bumpers, rack, gear ect I'm sure it's not going to get better. Now having said that's it feels no different than my 2008 4dr Ford 150 with the baby V8. I think I/us just need to remember this is a astoundingly heavy, square box that is being pushed through the air, not to mention you jack it up and destroy the extensive aerodynamic package Chrysler put together!
My question for the Braintrust could minor "lies" with the Procal alter shift points to ones liking or is there another way to do that?
Bottom line to the OP it's more than livable and looks awesome!!!
