What if (storage)
What if you could have (buy) the perfect storage solution/storage with the soft top/hard top?
I have a unlimited and looking to build my own storage cabinet for the summer for protection in the city I plan on designing a complete storage solution with tid bits to personalize as needed, I am a designer by trade. If I get layed off from my job which is looking very possible, I would be interested in peoples thoughts as I would build my own cap for my own needs and might be interested in selling to others. I plan on the (what I would call a cap) 3 sides, front (rear seats side/ removable from the inside of cap only) and sides mounted to jeep and the rear door making the 4th side. I plan on fiberglassing mine. I am not a big wheeler so I like look sometimes over function. I am not sure how fiberglass and wheeling go hand to hand? I will also offer a carpeted version if fiberglass would be a concern.
Big question, Price? I have no clue. I do know there will be a difference between carpet and fiberglass options as material and labor will be much more. I like to keep busy and I have no real hobbies at the moment.
Questions for you?
Do you want a rear storage?
What type of details would you like to see?
Sub option?
How Much would you pay?
Storage for items on top or inside compartments?
I am in the Kansas City suburbs. I would be interested in other Jeep model donors (ie:2 door/ JC / etc) if there is enough interest (yes free of charge).
These will be garage built (personalized as needed) not manufactured by a company.
PS. dont look at my old post to see my 4" lift and 33's to see my taste. LOL. Bad metric nite from the place I bought them from.
I am hoping to have a test cap in several weeks.

i like that the back seats fold down to open up hte trunk area so i wouldnt want to obstruct it, but at the same time i want a place to hide away small tools and such, the only thing i see working for me would be small storage boxes that conform to the sides of the trunk.
Yes you would be able to access the trunk from the back seat thru the inside. I use mine to sleep in once in a while so this will be a must. I am going over subs in my head I am thinking of having two different access doors. One made with mesh for subs and the other being a solid door.
Glass, not to happy with it. rushed and tried to do 2 layers in a single sheet plus it was late. It will be fine for a back but i am a perfectsionist and this will be a mold for the rest, I Will redo the door skin this weekend.
