Default What lockers should I get???

I have an X 4dr. with "trac-lock" limited slip in rear dana 44 and nothing in the dana 30 up front.

My first Jeep and wasn't really thinking when I purchased it without lockers and now realize I should have.

What is the cheapest and most reliable for my daily driven JK?

Should I go air locker, electric locker, detroit locker???

I must out perform my brother in-laws Toyota FJ (Fake Jeep) at the dunes and in the trails or I will be hurting!

Ideas?

Welcome to the forum, my Jeep has the LS and i find it works very well. As for the front the Aussie locker seems to be real popular and not expensive. The new version should be available soon for the new D30. If your somewhat mechanical you could install it your self it really not that difficult to install.

If you've got the TruLok, then it's a locker. The TracLoc (or maybe TracLock, I'm not sure) is the limited slip. Do you have a button on the dash?

That being said, if I were gonna put a locker in a daily driver, then I'd go with a selectable in the rear for sure. Probably Ox. I might go with an auto locker in front, as long as I didn't have to deal with snow. With you being in MI, you're gonna want a selectable up front, too.

If you've got the money, go with Ox front/rear.

Thanks, my offroad experience comes primarily from dune buggies and stock 4x4's.

I am glad to hear the limited slip is acceptable as I havn't been able to try it out yet except for snow, which I have enjoyed so far. I just purchased my JK a month ago.

I don't recall seeing the Aussie locker in the Quadratech catalog I just got but I will look it up.

The Aussie is torq-masters you can do a search on it. The Ox is a great locker but it's a bunch of money. The Aussie is around $250.

You really don't want an Aussie in the front. Not with your weather. ARB also makes a decent locker. If you can find one at the old price, the Rubi D44 front axle was right in there as well

As long as He is not on ice and engaged in 4WD there should be no problem.

Where there's snow, there'll be ice.

Screw all them. Just weld the spider gears together.
