If your after a little more ground clearance at the belly with minimal affect on the suspension/steering geometry, something between a simple 3/4 spacer lift and a 2" spring lift is what I'd suggest.

Don't mind the holy'r than thou crowd here. I would run a leveling it/budget boost. Cheap, effective and gives your rig a nice stance. mine was 130 bucks plus 400 for shocks. ride is awesome, can fit 33's perfect, and probably 35s if I get handy with a saw. but im not into cutting fenders so I will live with the 33s.

You don't need a lift, man. You should check out the sticky that dirtman put up, just some friendly advice. It's titled "my thoughts on lifts".

Let form follow function. What is it about the way you Jeep that makes you think you need bigger tires as opposed to just more aggressive tires?

If you lift are you prepared for the time and expense for all the additional changes that will be required?

See DirtMan's dissertation:

If you're not planning to run much bigger tires I think you'd be best to cut the fenders to flatties, and put wheel spacers on for a wider more aggressive stance. You'll still have great feel and handling of stock, and it would look taller and meaner. Very little cost involved too for other mods if you wish.
