A quality spacer that is installed properly and maintained is safe IMO. I use Spidertax. No issues

Wheel spacers will not hurt your performance...I couldn't even understand how that would be possible. As stated before, use Spidertrax wheel spacers and follow the proper installation instructions.

Just make sure you remove those retaining clips. By increasing your track, stability on turns is a plus.

I run Spidertrax, with no issues for the last 3k miles. My friend used drop in spacers on his 350z... he saw his rear tire fly pass him on the highway as he tripod his way to the shoulder lol, good thing no one got hurt. Make sure to use red locktite and recheck torque every time you rotate and you'll be fine.

I'm running Spider Trax 1 1/2" and have had NO PROBLEMS. I like the wider track.

I've been running my Rough Country 1.5" wheel spacers for over 30k miles. Absolutely no issues. Costed $118 for all 4 shipped to me.

Default Stress

I've heard running wheels with a lot of back space and spacers moves the wheel/tire further out causing more stress on the axle, ESP. The 35. Any thoughts ?

Bump for an answer to this question. I'm curious aswell. Thinking of widening my stance.

It's no different than a backspaced wheel outside of the fact you have 5 more lugs that have a chance, albeit very small chance of failure. Just lock tight the lugs on the spacer and tighten properly and you will be fine. The geometry of the spacers and a backspace wheel of equal amount of space would exert the same amount of force on the axle and accompanying parts.
