To extinguish a fire, HALON merely disrupts the combustion process (fuel + heat + oxygen = combustion process, i.e. FIRE!). HALON needs to maintain a level of concentration until one of those items is removed/is no longer present. A contained fire inside the closed passenger compartment of a vehicle can be extinguished with HALON, providing that concentration is maintained. A fire in an engine compartment or an open Jeep cabin would need a LOT of HALON applied repeatedly. Dry Chem, although messy and corrosive unless removed promptly, remains a very effective means of extinguishing a petroleum fed fire.

Back of the sport cage, driver's side. It's out of the way for daily use, but easy to reach if I ever need it.

Driver's seat between door and seat. Used the mount that came with the extinguisher. Used 1 of the existing holes in the seat post and drilled the second. Out of sight, secure and easy to reach.
