Who here has done the LS swap?

Please chime in who has done the swap. Did you end up using a pre-fab kit, or doing it differently? And approximate total cost.

TIA

i see this is an old thread, but i'm pondering the same thing. as for the member who said, why not buy a diesel JL instead, well, price, for one thing. i bought my JKU used for less than a third of the cost of a new diesel JL. so then, add in what? 6 to 10 grand to do a swap? in today's economy that's an appealing option.

ok, so why hasn't anyone done a Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD swap into a JK/JKU, transmission and all? wouldn't there be similar wiring, etc., since they're both chrysler vehicles? i'm new to the swap topic, but other than motor mounts and trans output shaft length difference, what else is needed to make that work? with a tune that motor can put out 440 ft/lbs of torque, without a hemi's gas consumption. seems like an idea worth looking into. anyone want to chime in on that?
