Default Why is Teraflex named 3'' lift if it gives +4'' ?

Hi,

i want to lift my 2 DR JK exact 3'' , does teraflex offer that combination? (probably mixing coils from different kits)

if not will it be an over kill if i install the below with 2.5 coil lift?

JKS adj front control arms upper & lower
JKS adj front track bar
JKS adj rear upper control arms
1310 rear drive shaft

And i am courious to know why was the kit named that way.

it seems like a bargain that way.

if it was named a 3" lift and only gave 2" everyone would be pissed.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know.
I think they (all lift companies) compare the stock springs w/the new ones while they're OUT of the truck. But since the new springs are usually stiffer than stock, you end up w/more lift. Just my theory.

The 2.5" coil lift will give you 3" in the front and almost 3" in the back. you can add coil spacers to get the rest if you want.

I think the set up you are talking about would be good. You may be able to live without the drive shaft.

Add some sway bar discos and you will be gold.

We installed this on a unlimited and had a 200lb employee sit on the front. The JK sagged about 3/4". So you should be fine with the coils and maybe a 1/2" spacer.

This guy ??? Yeah...I requested this picture when you did this install... convinced me to add a 3/4" spacer on top of the front 2.5" coils with a metal bumper and winch. My JK sits real nice now.
