Default Will these fit

Will a 295/70/18 Nitto fit on a stock 2012 JKU. The exact measurement is 34.26 x 11.61.

I believe they will fit. I've seen a JK on 35's with NO lift. Doesn't look pretty, but the fender wells are large enough to fit 35's w/o a lift.

not without some rubbing. even with 285's, you will have some issues on a stock JK.

Would spacers help with these tires or spacers and a small lift?
Im thinking about going the 285 size on my 09 is the reason I was asking.
Also curious as to how much backspacing the stick 18" rims have.
Thanks.

yes, running a set of 1.5" wheel spacers will help give your rear sidewalls more clearance from the swaybar links and allow you to make a full turn without rubbing. depending on the tire, you may still rub the air dam on the corner and you will most likely see some rubbing at a full flex. a leveling kit or small budget boost will help prevent this.

Thanks Eddy.
If it just rubs on the front, that could be trimmed so it wont
or changed out.
The specific tire I was thinking is either 265 60 18 or 265 70 18 Wild Peak.
The size is just slightly bigger than the stock tires I believe.

Yes, cut the little wings off of the air dam as shown below. Alternatively you may remove the air dam completely, although I observed an increase in my hood flutter once I removed mine for the installation of my PSC Brawler Lite front bumper.
