Default Winch cover suggestions?

So the wife just got me a new bumper and smittybilt 9500 winch for xmas. Wondering what everyone is using to protect them from the elements when not in use. I've seen the smittybilt cover with a draw string but it seems cheap. The warn neoprene seems nice but not sure of cross brand fitment. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered a cheap nylon one from ebay thinking it was made in Texas and it was made in China. The thing is waterproof but faded fast... looks kind of purple.

I know a few people that have the Smittybilt cover and it seems to work fine and definitely hasn't faded. Most turn the cover backwards so the logo is facing the grill.

I got the Bulldog Neoprene cover on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Bulldog-Winch...ne+winch+cover

It's a generic fitting cover which stretches to fit your winch and has a smaller logo than most, and can be turned the other way if you don't like it.

However, like many covers I found it does fade in color rather quickly due to sunlight. I put the cover on around August and was shopping around trying to find some kind of spray to protect it from UV ray fading, but it faded pretty fast before I had a chance to buy the spray. I may buy another, since it is a good cover, but will definitely get some kind of UV spray for it before installing.

I'm looking at a sleeve for the winch to cover my syn cable. The housing will be fine in the elements.

Be aware that sometimes the covers may hold in trash as well as keeping a portion out. They may also retain water within the spool.

Yeah, my cover blocks the radiator too much. Makes it run hot on hotter days.

A Superwinch neoprene cover might fit. They make several styles and sizes. One should match. Good ratings.

This is the one I have for my winch. Had it for 3 months now. Haven't noticed any fading, but the seams do fray and the neoprene fabric pills where I guess there's more air turbulence because it's only happening where there's an edge of part of the winch housing underneath. All cosmetic complaints so would still recommend it because it still seems more durable in the long run than those vinyl barbeque cover types that dry and crack and let water through.

It's starting to sound like we need to start a thread called, "Which UV protection spray do I get for my winch cover?". My original thought was that they make sprays for outside lawn furniture fabrics to protect them from fading due to UV sunlight. I shopped around and saw a bunch of Scotchguard stuff but it was either really expensive or I wasn't sure it would work.

I really like the Neoprene bulldog winch cover I got. It goes on/off easily, it stretches to fit, it has an elastic band around the bottom, protects my winch great....it just faded in less than 2 months of sunlight.
