I have a pair of Hella 500 FF mounted on MBRP brackets. The Hella lights have a pretty bad halo effect the throws light into the cabin. If you put the grill covers on them its better. The KC long range would be a much better choice. The brackets started rusting almost immediately. I just refinished them this weekend. I would recommend a different brand.

I have the Mopar brackets with hella black magic 1000s.

Pros- They move the lights low and to the side of the windshield.

Cons-expensive and you have to bend the stock antenna or get a stubby.

I believe the smittybuilts are exactly the same, but for half the price.

I bought the Smittybilt ones because they sit a little lower and out to the side so they don't block your view as much as some brackets. I didn't like the way the bracket for the antannae pushed it out at an awkward angle so I just put a small bend in it and now it looks good IMO.Click image for larger version

Not to highjack the thread but to add another twist... Which light bracket works with mirror relocation brackets? Anyone have any experience with that?

I use the the KC slims with the KC brackets. brackets are fine but the mounting hardware of the lights had rust after about a year, maybe less. not sure if anyone else had an Issue or if it's just me, could be caused by all the road salt here during the chicago winter. sanded off rust and sprayed with a few coats of rustoleum, hasn't come back.

I cut some tool box liner to the shape of the bracket and screwed thru it between the bracket and windshield, to help against rust - year and a half still good.

I went with the HiDX brackets. They mount down and out, and include an antenna bracket to route it away from the light.

No problem with a drivers side rugged ridge mirror relo. (not using the passenger side mirror bracket, but I don't think there would be a clearance issue with the antenna bracket, as it is in and up from the mirror)
