Default Rubicon with fake patina: Hot or not?

I actually like the contrasting fenders and running boards here, but that said, I'm really not much for fake patina... What do you think? Hot or not? More pics and info on this build here.

Interesting, but not my cup of tea. Maybe red parts would look better?

The juxtaposition of shiny clean silver and "patina" trim looks terrible, the two don't mesh. The rest of the Jeep needs a flat finish at minimum to pull off the look.

There are color combos that could work with. The one in the op isn't one of them. Looks like ass.

On an old rat road or truck, sure. Newer Jeep, thumbs down. To each his/her own.

I like it. You're right about how a flat color would work with it.

Might just be testing the waters with the trim first lol. Second one is incredible.
