Back ordered 07 Tranny Parts

Does anyone know anything about back ordered manual transmission parts. My 07 manual is popping out of 1st so bad i have decided to pay the big bucks and get it fixed. My mechanic (former GM trans specialist now with his own shop) is telling me that he looked up a service bulletin that said he needed a certain part(s) and there was no use in doing it without this / these part(s) or it would just start popping out again. He stated the part was on back order and he would call me when it came in. It has been over two weeks and when i checked in with them they said they would call me when it/they comes in. Is this just the synchronizes or some other part? Why so hard to get. I am wondering if i should go to another mechanic (which I don't want to do but i want the fixed sometime before i go the big off road trail in the sky).

Would be a bunch easier to answer your question if you gave the specific part and the service bulletin.

I ended up with a used Tranny. the Popping out of first issue seems to be solved. Now i have a vibration at 2,500 rpm.
Never got an answer on what part(s) were back ordered.

Vibration could be easy- loosen up the 3 16 mm mounts on the bottom and try to line the trans up where it was before. Mine was previously fully seated against the rear of the holes. After an accident, it shifted halfway through and caused a wild vibration. The body shop couldn't pinpoint it so I ended up looking around and putting it back where it used to sit. No more vibes now.
