Engine ticking to screeching??

Started ticking about a week ago, while coming off an interstate and slowing down it started making this racket. No check engine light, gauges all checked good, after towing it home checked for codes no codes found, no water in the oil, compression tested cylinders 205-215 were the ranges between all 6? Need advice on where to start the teardown.

Is it the 3.8L engine? The edit note says video attached, but it's not there. The file size limit is pretty small, maybe youtube it (and add link here), or reduce the size.

3.8 L pulled valve covers all is good believe it’s a spun bearing

Since you've inspected the rocker arms, it sounds like a rod knocking (spun bearing). You could also run it briefly with the valve covers off and visually check the rocker arm action -- Messy, but better than a static looksee. Hate to hear that sort of sound from an engine!

Seems like there's an unusual number of rod/main bearing failures in these engines, curious what viscosity oil and how many miles are on it?

Update

Further tear down came to dropping the pan and found the #6 bearing had disintegrated no need to remove the caps as there was a visible gap vehicle has 67,000 miles never missed and oil change and was a black top warrior.

Bad news, but at least the situation is known. Has it been running 5w-20 oil?

5w-20 every time
