Default Front differential issue

Okay have a bit of an odd one (at least to me) bout a month ago I went on a drive with no issues when 4wd engaged, but about 2 weeks ago went to go out and found the vehicle makes a thumping noise.

Today I propped her up on jack stands to diagnose and the rear end spins normally (driver and passenger will spin freely when opposite wheel is under load) front end however, did not, went to put the driver side under load and it acted like the locker was engaged.

Took to manually spinning the driver side wheel both clockwise and counter clockwise and had no wheel rotation on the passenger wheel. When passenger is spun manually the driver side will spin opposite as to be expected with an open dif.

Now I was suspecting wheel bearing failure as a possibility uniltil I found this but really wanted to run this by others to get some other input before I go replacing all the wrong parts and rack up an expensive bill. Currently unable to pop the dif cover today to inspect but will be doing so soon as the next service for that is due shortly regardless.
