Default Green as it gets!

Hey all, I'm newer to the JK Forum community. Ive had a profile for a little while but never introduced myself proper ( at least I cant remember). well HELLO! My names Erik, I purchased a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon a couple years ago brand new of the dealer lot... I know what you're thinking" just another spoiled mall crawler yuppie" not the case. Ive driven my own shitty cars and trucks and worked on them since high school. I know my way around a wrench and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I was finally able to get a nice, reliable, capable rig for myself and family. Its more than practical for me and my wife. We live in Nor Cal in the foothills just minutes away from some great trails and back country, the jeep stock will get us to our favorite high lake so the kids and dogs can run around and I can dust off the four wheel drive and disconnect the sway bar links, but thats as far as we can get without getting into some more "abusive to the jeep situations" which at this point im not willing to do. Now when I got the Jeep I told my wife I would not lift it or put bigger tires on it for a few years... well, in my book a few years is two and its been two years HAHAHA! I have been saving my pennies for a budget lift since I got it. I recently purchased and installed a RC 3.5'' lift along with 35x12.50.16r toyo open country MTs. with that last part said about installing the lift I have run into some issues and thats where me being green to "wheeling" and just general geometry of off road suspension has got me thrown. I'll be searching through the tech side of the site for any info and possibly posting a "HELP ME" thread haha. thanks for reading. if your in my area and want to hit the trails im down!

Erik,

Hello to you! thanks for the welcome : ) im sure as you noticed this is my second intro, totally spaced my initial join date and intro. at the time of the jeep purchase shortly after my wife and I had our second little one so jeep stuff and pretty much every other "stuff" got put on hold. he has recently started preschool and also is at the age now where he can roam the yard without getting into to much trouble, thus dad can actually sneak away to the computer and hit the forum up and then actually go work on the jeep! its amazing hahaha. thanks again.
