Default Greetings all! Noob from Louisiana here

Hello everyone! I'm new, but signed up quite a while back.I'm in Houma, with a black 2010 Sport, soft top, with a zombie theme. It's pretty much stock except for decals, nerf bars, upgraded factory wheels, and half a sound system. POS stole my box with 2 10" Kickers, while I was on vacation in Biloxi this past week. I decided to become a little more active tonight, because I have got a LOT of reserch to do. I am sick and tired of having one of the most stock Jeeps in town. No lift, no wheels, no power. I plan to start working on that next year. I may get some wheels and a lift, but I think I would prefer to wait on that, until I yank that anemic boat anchor out from under my hood. I want to do a 6.0 LSX swap, so that my JK can atleast get out of it's own way. I really want to warm over the 6.0, for a little extra kick though. I have 6-speed now, but I'm thinking of going to an auto.

A little back story here. Four years ago, I was in a severe car wreck. Plenty of broken bones in both arms, my chest, and left leg. I had always wanted a Jeep, but really wanted a CJ7. After my wreck, I saw a nice silver TJ at the local Dodge dealer, with brand new black wheels and new mud tires. Went checked it out and drove it. It had the 4.0L and an auto. It was perfect for me, especially since at the time I was still in a wheel chair with my arms and leg casted up. The salesman started up the paperwork, went to the finance department, and told me he couldn't get me financed. Then he tells me that he could get me financed on a 2010. I'm thinking he's messing with me. We go look at it, and it's in my favorite color, black. I tell him let's do it. He started working on the paperwork for that one, while I went cash in the insurance check for my car. When I went to pick the JK up, I had to bring my mom, and she got to drive it home, while I got to drive her POS Jeep Liberty. God I hate those things! For a month or two, I had to make her or my best friend drive me around in it, just so that I could ride in it. My girlfriend had to drive it for me a few times as well. I was living at my mom's while recovering from the wreck. When I finally moved back to my sister's house, where I was living at the time, I started driving, against the advise of my doctor. According to him, I was allowed to put 50% of my weight on my ankle. I knew the clutch was less than 110lbs! That, and I am a stubborn SOB! The worst part of the whole thing, was it REALLY sucked wheeling around in my chair, then standing on one leg for each step of putting the top down. It was even worse putting it back up! PITA to put the top up with one good leg! I had to jump onto the hitch, and then into the back, throw the top over, get down and go latch the front. Several times, it would fall before I could get to that step!

Wow! That was kinda long-winded! Well, hopefully the modding will begin in 2018! If anyone has some tips on the LSX swap, PM me, or post a link to the thread. I need to learn all that I can!
