Hello All
Hi all, my name is Mark, I am 32 years old (i think im 32), and have been married to my beautiful wife Melissa (29 yrs old) for the past 11 years. We have 3 wonderful kids (for the most part) which are: Devin - 10, Braydin - 7, and Shaylin - 5. I have been reading this JK forum for the past several months learning a ton of stuff about the JK. I have just recently bought my 1st Jeep last week which happens to be a Flame Red Unlimited Rubicon with the 6spd transmission and just absolutely love her. Her name is Victoria BTW. I find myself forgetting to buy items on the grocery list now when my wife sends me just so I have to drive back to the store again, and I hate going to the store. I have wanted a Jeep for many years but the 2 door models just were not feasible so I totally love this 4 door unlimited. The 1st night we brought Victoria home, after the wife and 2 younger kids went to bed; my 10 year and I decided to hit the gravel roads. We came across a road closed sign and drove right past it. My 10 year made the comment "Dad, is there such a thing as a closed road for Jeeps?" In which I replied "I don't think so?" Needless to say, we found some holes that were dug out, about 1 1/2 to 2 foot deep that we just had to drive through. I’m certain that Victoria already has scratched on her skid plates now, but I don’t think she minds all that much. We are taking a vacation trip to the Denver, CO area later this month and plan to hits some trails and see how well Victoria does. I do not think I have ever been as excited about a new vehicle as I am with this Jeep, and look forward to meeting all of you.

Hi there
|
Welcome to the Forum! We love our 4 door. Kids are grown and gone but when we travel it is nice to have room for our luggage and all the Jeep tools. You will have a great vacation in Colorado, the trails there are endless. Go to Durango and Silverton if you can. Ride the steam train, it is an experience you and the kids will never forget. Have fun!

I am definitely looking forward to taking the Jeep on the trails in Colorado. It is amazing how many people will look at you when you’re in your Jeep especially with the top off. Earlier today I had the Jeep parked on the street with the top off while we attended a friend’s birthday party. I was sitting out in front with a few other friends and every time someone would arrive at the party, as they were walking up to the house I could see each and every one of them just admiring my Jeep. I few of them would even take a second look back over their shoulder as they walked past the Jeep. They would then look to their better half and start talking. I’m sure they were making comments about my Jeep. At one point, I even saw a few guys group up at my Jeep checking it out. They only thing I do not like about my Jeep which I hope to get use to soon, is the flames I feel on my head the next morning when I go to brush what hair I have left. Something about driving around all day with no top on just seems to result in my head getting burnt along with my forearms.

I think I may have figured out how to add a pic of my new Jeep to this post. This is just after washing her and using the 303 Aerospace Protectant on it. The 303 really brought the black back into the soft top.
