Hello from San Antonio, Texas
New to Texas here, lived in the PNW just north of Seattle my whole life! Just got to Texas and am about to get a JKUR or possibly a JKR soon. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!

Welcome. I've been down in your neck of the woods to visit Lost Maples State Park which is absolutely gorgeous in in the Fall. We have some great places in Texas that you'll have to visit!

I always start thinking about Big Bend once the new year rolls around, because the season is so short there and if you don't see it by mid-March, it's toast until the following mid-October. If you have the chance, you should shoot over to Big Bend NP in 1Q since you're under 5 hours away. There are so many amazing sights to see there!
