Hi From The Bahamas
Hey All,
After several prior jeeps (CJ7, YJ, TJ) in my past, I just came back to the fold with the purchase of a 2010 JKU.
Due to the fact that we pay 80% import duty + 7.5% sales tax on vehicles here in 'paradise', mine is a bit of a mess due to lack of funds - 'Salvage/Repairable' title, semi-repaired by 'bush mechanics' here on the island, shot/missing front diff (so no front driveshaft - basically 2wd at moment)
My mechanic skills are firmly at the level of "Um, I'm a photographer", so I imagine I'll be here rather a lot while I get this thing into a semi reasonable state.
In addition to the ridiculous duty/tax on buying a vehicle, parts usually work out 200% their US price by the time they are shipped here, so it's going to be a slow process.
No photos at moment, but details are:
2010 Sport Unlimited
Stock Everything (apart form the parts that aren't actually there!)
Deep Water Blue Pearl
Hard Top
