New guy checking in from Roseburg OR.
Hey folks,
I have been coming here for about a month now when the bug finally got too bad and I "HAD" to get another Jeep.
Wife made me sell my CJ-5 in about 98 as she claimed I was going to kill myself in it.
So I got a 2013 Unlimited Rubicon in Commando Green.
I felt the bumpers were a joke so I was going to build my own. However I found a set I liked well enough for the price. I could not start to build my own for the price of a new set so why not.
Could not believe the lack of under belly armor on this Rubicon. Exposed trans cooler lines and all. So I am looking to build my own skids unless I can find the right ones at the right price.
I will not name any names but even some of the after market skids are a joke. I would kill it on the first rock I hit right?
Did find one company that makes a really nice set for a not too bad price but I am kind of on the fence about the way it mounts.
Anyway all this can be discussed at length later.
You folks have got a great site and I checked out many.
Would have registered sooner but could not come up with a username for nothing. I know Tree Frog is kinda dumb but it kind of fits, the way these things climb and all.
