Welcome to the NorthWest Area of the JK-Forum.

I happen to work in Salem and am already somewhat familiar with the JK you now own as I drive by the local dealership at least once a day and go there for service and some parts. Good choice -- that is my favorite color.

Look at the 'Lil Nemo' threads in the Forum for some ideas on how a JK can be built right without breaking the bank. This is a Project-JK buildup with years of experience behind it.

I have an X also and have been building it up for a year. Saturday, I am taking it to Browns Camp in the Tillamook State Forest to test clearance on the latest modifications which included a lift and the addition of 37" MT/R tires.

There are several other active JK-Forum members in the immediate Salem area. Maybe we could get together some evening soon for a meet and greet if you are interested.

Ask around for others and see what they would recommend doing first and make a priority list for your needs. Go from there. Welcome to the forum.
