Question New to Jeep- Lots of Questions- Please take a look!!

New to the Jeep Wrangler world. Just got my JK over the weekend...below specs and ideas for it...let me know your thoughts!

2016 JK Unlimited Black...sits bone stock right now.

Upgrades I am thinking about...as you can see I really like DV8 stuff...and trying to see if I am headed in a bad direction. I read good reviews in most places, but never know how many of those are paid for!!

DV8 Rock Roller 3.5" lift- I like because it seems to come with everything to correct the geometry of the Jeep.
Question about above lift as well? Are the Fox Shocks worth the upgrade...about $300?
DV8 Front and Rear Bumpers
DV8 2nd Gen Fenders

I have already purchased a Warn Winch VR8000

Tires 35x12.50R20 Mastercraft MXT Courser- Heard good things from reviews, but again...what that paid for?
Wheels 20x9 XD Rockstar II's

The above are all on the pretty immediate list.

I am in between deleting the spare tire and keeping it...Im not an every weekend or really even every month offroader...possibly occasional offroad with this Jeep, and that would be nothing extreme. How frowned upon is it to delete the spare tire in the Jeep world? Keeping in mind that I am smart enough to buy a used spare tire for cheap and keep on a stock rim just in case.

Hope I can get some good thoughts here!

My only comment would be to go with 17" wheels and tires if you are running 35's

A lot more sidewall equals better ride. (plus they are usually cheaper and easier to find)

kaptkrappy- Thanks for the info! I will look into that...would you say its a noticeably different ride going down to 17?

Agree on the 17s. 20s are too big of a wheel for my tastes for any tires under about a 40".

I wouldn't go for a spare delete myself. And having a spare not on the vehicle doesn't help with the reason you actually need a spare unless you can leave it on the tow vehicle or something.

But I've seen plenty of Jeeps without spares. Not too frowned upon. It's better to have no spare than a grossly undersized spare--that's just goofy. At least get a quality patch so you have a chance.

I've never even heard of the DV8 brand and I'm been around Jeeps for years so either it's completely new or I totally missed it.

Enjoy the Jeep and figure out what you *need* before you drop a bunch of coin on it

Thanks arjeeper. Going to look into lowering the rim size for sure. I believe DV8 is relatively new. I called them earlier today though and they are just a bunch of Jeep guys themselves based out of LA CA area. Definitely want to put alot of time and research before I drop my wallet on something I dont like. I appreciate the reply!~

Just my opinion, I wouldn't go 3.5 inches of lift for 35s. You could go to 2.5 inches and be fine. You will deal with a lot less issues in the long run staying at 2.5 or lower. Take a look at the sticky by Dirtman under modified tech. Very good info that can help you decide on a lift.

Again my 2 cents.....

Agreed, if you just want 35's stick to a 2.5" lift. I installed the teraflex lift and when everything was said and done I ended up at ~3" of lift. That's more than enough for 35's 2015 Hydro Blue JKU

Thanks for the advice! I was actually wondering that, as I would like to keep it's road ride as smooth as possible! I really appreciate the help!
