Default New in Missouri

Hi, I'm new to the Wrangler world, been wanting a Wrangler for a long time and finally gave in to it despite not being the most "practical" decision for me, I'm 37 and my friend said there is more to life than MPG! Lots of things happened and in the end I realized life is too short, just buy the Jeep! So on Halloween 2016 I bought a new JK Unlimited sport, hydro blue, bare bones, soft top with an automatic, 3.73 gears and Sirius radio. Almost as base, bare stock as they come. I really wanted the gearing. I've been into Jeeps for a long time and my family owns several old Grand Wagoneers. My husband and I have built a '94 Ford Explorer over the years it is our trail rig now with SAS, one tons and 40s. It's fun but I've always wanted my Wrangler. Not much wheeling in Missouri but we get to the off-road parks occasionally. We love going out to Colorado to wheel the Ouray area every summer. My JK is 95% daily driver and will be for the next few years, with some mild wheeling and Colorado trips in the mix. That in mind I'm excited about my mods coming up in the next month. Going for 17" steel wheels (black) with BFG all terrain KO2s, 285/70 R17 so roughly 33s. I want the Teraflex 1.5" performance leveling kit. Looking at some rock sliders and later I'd love to get a Trek Top. I'm looking to keep my mods very functional and low-key, I want a great DD that commutes 60 miles a day on the highway that is still capable to come out and play on some mildly challenging stuff on occasion. I also want to do as much as I can to it myself, no going to pay someone to install my leveling kit or whatever I have planned. I will post pictures once I figure out what's going wrong with my photobucket account!

Welcome to JK-Forum. Do some reading (suggested reading below) and wheel your jeep stock a few times before making modification choices. I hope to see you guys at SMORR (Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch) some time!

I just joined myself and bought my 2017 JKU last week. Similar plans on wheels/tires and then going with a proper lift in 2 years or so once those tires wear. I'm in the St. Louis area.
