Hello to all, hope you don't mind me joining you from over the pond. Here's a brief of me and mine:
Live in London, UK, waiting to order our right hooker wrangler 4 door as soon as jeep uk get their act together and "officially" announce it. Apparently they will be here in March/April 07, although that normally means about 3 months after that.
We have owned a CJ7 before which we loved, so when we first saw the 4door in the mags, we decided on it straight away....can't wait for it.
Oh and don't want to piss anyone off......but we will definately be getting the diesel(!)

Ahoy
A CJ-7 in london...so does it have the steering wheel on the wrong side?? That'd be something odd to see. And no fair ya'll get a diesel?? We'll probably have some aftermarket company like AEV build them with diesels...and then charge an arm and a leg. Good luck gettin your JK.

Yep, it was a right hooker; converted officially (I think) although it may have been bicycle chains and elastic, some of them were.
Was quite old when I got it, roof didn't fit, heater didn't work and the lights went off and on at traffic lights, but we loved it. cheers

Hey tygster, welcome to JK-Forum, it's great to have you here. Just out of curiosity, why the JK when you can still buy a Defender 110? Of course, a Defender ain't a Jeep but I thought I would ask

The 110 is just too basic to live with, great for pure offroading, but far too compromised for road use. The Jeep is a more versatile choice, we can load it up, take the roof off...brilliant.
I have had a 110 before, a pickup with a v8 in it, great for pulling houses down, but by far the most uncomfortable car to drive I have ever had!
They are pretty much just used by farmers and the military
